Today I'm loving...

... this elaborate, turquoise Pucci ring.

I just love turquoise for summer, it reminds me of the sea somehow, and it's one of those colors that feel just right every year. So I think a ring like this is a really good investment.

(I actually have several turquoise rings myself, but not one made by Pucci so far)

Planning my next trip

Travelling is so much fun, and even though my last trip ended just a little while ago, I love travelling so much, I am already planning my next trip, as well as reading hotel reviews, travel agent reviews and so on.
The only problem is I haven't really decided for sure where I should go on my next, long trip.

Some of the options I am considering are:
Singapore, because I really want to visit the awesome hotel Marina Bay Sands, partly because of the hotel itself (spectacular!) and partly because of the amazing roof top pool they have.

Fiji, because it just seems like paradise, or another island in the area.
Sydney, Australia, because my friend used to live there and she told me so many good things about this city. And the rest of Australia doesn't seem too shabby either!
Hawaii, because... well, who wouldn't want to go to Hawaii?
So if any of you readers have been to any of these places, I would love to hear from you! Maybe you have some tips to share or some fun stories to tell about your own visits?

Hope everyone has a great weekend, by the way!

Another great Fall 2012 collection

Is of course, as usual, the Monique Lhuillier collection. It mainly consists of really beautifully made dresses, that all reminded me once again of why I love this designer so much (even though I have not got even one Monique Lhuillier dress yet myself, because I simply do not go to enough Monique Lhuillier worthy events!).

Some of my favorites are:

But there are plenty of other cute dresses too, you can see them all on Style.com, where the pics are from too.

Today I'm loving...

... the Red Valentino Fall 2012 collection. It simply has so many gorgeous, flirty, fun and feminine pieces in it!
Gorgeous fabric, that feels luxurious yet wearable at the same time.
I love the color but also the little bow in the front!
Feminine outfits with a slight rock twist are always the best, if you ask me. This outfit is a perfect mix of that!
Gorgeous details, and a great, very flattering color too!
Black also complements this color wonderfully!

So far, I must say the Red Valentino is my favourite collection for Fall 2012. But that's hardly surprising. I am a huge Valentino fan, after all, and have been for years!

Today I'm loving...

... several pieces in the upcoming Marni for H&M collection.
This fantastic looking dress...
 This extremely cool t-shirt...
... and this gorgeous jacket, just to mention a few pieces.

This looks like a great collection, which is nice since several of the last H&M designer collaborations did not turn out that good. (exhibit 1 and exhibit 2)
Looking forward to seeing the pieces in real life a lot!

Today I'm loving...

... this gorgeous Year Abroad Dress, for sale over at Modcloth:

So girly and flirty and I love the little Parisian scenes in the pattern!

My favorite scents right now

Before I went on my holiday I almost ran out of perfume, so I decided to do some tax free shopping for scents while travelling. While I love shopping online for most things, scents is not one of them, at least not new scents, since I think it is a must to try the scent in person before you buy it. And this goes for scents recommended to you by your friends and other people you know too, since scents are highly personal, and I for one do not like all the scents my friends wear.

Some of the scents I discovered I really liked and decided to get are:
Prada Candy - a lovely scent if you like sweet perfumes. Prada rocks when it comes to perfumes too! Recommended, especially for those who like the scent Pink Candy (I do!), this scent is pretty similar, but more upscale.

Peony from L Occitane, which is a real favorite brand of mine, both when it comes to scents and other things. This is one of their newer scents that I hadn't tried before, and I am so glad I decided to give it a try. It's nice and fruity and very summery. A great choice for everyone who loves flower scents, and only that!

Island Paradise by Tommy Bahama, which is a lesser known scent, but actually a really fun and flirty summer scent, which is of course perfect for island vacations as you may expected. Highly recommended if you are into tropical scents!

But besides these rather mainstream perfumes and scents, I am actually leaning more towards more unusual and personal scents, that you won't catch others wearing. So at the moment I am looking into smaller perfume companies, like Harvey Prince, who sell top women fragrances for all kinds of women. So if anyone knows of some smaller perfume companies, I would be happy to get some recommendations. (This also goes for companies who allow you to try to mix your own scents, this is something I have been wanting to try for the longest time already)

I'm back!

My trip is now over, which is kind of sad since it was absolutely great, but I try not to get too upset about it. I do have several fun things to look forward to at home as well, after all!

Here are some photos from the places I visited while travelling:
Grand Turk, the main island of Turks and Caicos Islands.
St. Thomas, where the capital of the US Virgin Islands, Charlotte Amalie, is located.
San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico. An absolutely stunning city! I had no idea how gorgeous it was before I actually went here, so that was a very nice surprise.
Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! I hope I will be able to get back on track when it comes to blogging now that I am back.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I am still travelling for a few days, but I still wanted to write a little something to wish everyone a belated happy Valentine's Day. I spent it in gorgeous South Beach and could not have wished for a better evening myself, so I sincerely hope the day was as nice for all my readers as well!

What I am doing right now

Currently, I am travelling in south Florida, before getting aboard a cruise ship to the Caribbean, so at the moment, my life looks something like this:

Trend I am loving

Mint green has always been one of my favorite colors, together with blue. So I am obviously thrilled that this color is going to be a hot trend this spring and summer, since it will make it easier for me to get some new mint green pieces.

Some adorable ones I have seen for the upcoming season are:
 this Versace silk scarf
this Kenneth Jay Lane necklace
this lace skater dress from ASOS
this Rare dress that is partly mint green and partly black
these flats from Topshop.

Some of the designers that have featured mint green in their collections for Spring 2012 are Elie Saab:

and Jil Sander.

So I would definitely recommend everyone to look into this shade for the upcoming season, and I really look forward to getting some new mint green pieces myself!

What to pack for a cruise

So, I am finally going on my cruise, and since I had a hard time finding tips on what to pack for a cruise when I tried to plan that, I thought I'd share some of the things I ended up packing myself:
A brand new pair of Havaianas, because what else are you going to wear by the pool and on the beach on the islands?
A travel set with small travel sizes of skin care products, since I think a vacation is an excellent time to try new beauty products. These are from Paul and Joe.
Books, because I simply cannot go on holiday without having stuff to read.
My new bathing suits and cover ups that I have already mentioned here, from Freya.
A track suit, because I intend to hit the gym since I have a feeling I will be eating more than usual on the cruise. This one is pink, and from H&M.
A bunch of new clothes, because I think it is always more fun to go on vacation if you have something new to wear, even if you intend to buy new stuff on the vacation as well.

Of course I packed some more boring things as well, like my camera, laptop and some basic clothing items, but oh well, those are so obvious I won't bore you with them.
